No blog long time

Life is busy! Training (still) for Kielder 100. Was going very well. Some long (for me) road rides on the Roadrat, CRC Marathon at Builth Wells, then Rough Ride. Decided not to drop rear cog from 18 to 20 and pushed hard - now have soreness in left knee :-( . Rested a bit but never had knee pain from cycling so not happy. Might have complete rest next week with no commuting.

Currently drooling over Ragley TD-1 (see post above).

After riding rigid, ss 29er it seems to make sense. Would have to sell all frames, spares, bits etc to fund it. Can't decide....

Long time no blog....

Well, these things happen! It's 2010 now and I've entered the Kielder 100 in September. I'm sure it's a good idea......

Anyway, need for a training plan. Don't have one yet, but did the SPAM winter challenge today with David to get the year off to a good start. Did the 50km route in just under 3 hours. very cold, glorious weather. Course was too much road for my liking but I enjoyed doing the miles/hills :-)

Time flies....

Work has kind of taken over :-( . I'm even looking for new jobs - teaching is really frustrating me at the moment. Nothing to do with the kids, just the systems, paperwork, jumping through hoops etc.

Done a bit more running recently, needed as Bristol Off-road Duathlon is coming soon! Also, trying to fly after my mates downhill has got me thinking of adding sus to my ti29er. However, I thought if I was going to add 100mm and might as well add more; so have pre-ordered a Banshee Paradox ! Reviews from guys on mtbr and stw have been very encouraging. I see it as the 29er equivalent of an On-one 456. Tracking 120mm maxle rebas down has been fun, but I think I have found some. Frame won't be here to November, but can't wait to try it.

Fantastic weekend on Dartmoor; thanks to Mark for organising. Fantastic weather, 2 days of biking, a (short) run, beer, good food and even a dip in the Dart :-)

First cx complete! 96 riders apparently, results out tomorrow. SS wasn't too bad, 36x16 gearing seems spot on for me, at least for now. Interesting section of course on bmx track :-)
