Fantastic weekend on Dartmoor; thanks to Mark for organising. Fantastic weather, 2 days of biking, a (short) run, beer, good food and even a dip in the Dart :-)

First cx complete! 96 riders apparently, results out tomorrow. SS wasn't too bad, 36x16 gearing seems spot on for me, at least for now. Interesting section of course on bmx track :-)

Don't race the kids!

Just a gentle jaunt to the park with the kids. They started some racing; I joined in. Soon learnt that cx tyres at max psi (just fitted) don't work well on tight,wet tarmac bends at speed - cue bike and me sliding sideways and scraping across tarmac/mud. Lovely :-) "Are you all right Daddy??".

First 2 commutes of school year last week. Felt quite strong on both - forgotten how knackered I feel though getting up at 5.30!

First round of SW cx at Wellington tomorrow. Hopefully girls will do the kids race (I think they're keen!?). Fitted new Conti Twisters to the Pomp - 32mm but still only marginal clearance out back. Report back tomorrow on the wisdom of ss cx!
